Since Peter Shankman featured us on his HARO site, I’ve received more than 300 emails. Here’s just one:
Hello Russ,
Congratulations! Now you can add Canada to your list of supporters – I am from Calgary and LOVE what you are doing. Let me know if I can help from here.
All the best, Sue
Look at the incredible post Peter Shankman just put up on his HARO site:
OMG I love this!! This HARO is thanks to Hope is in the Cards, a
grassroots effort to generate 300 million upbeat messages
throughout our country. The idea is simple – get everyone in
America to mail one positive card or letter to someone else, right
now. How cool is that? Check out http://HopeIsInTheCards.org, but
even easier? Send a positive card or letter to someone today, or
write the word HOPE on the back of anything you mail. This is
probably one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever heard. Tweet it
out, they’re at http://twitter.com/hopeinthecards – It deserves it!
How can you thank someone for such good words? It is so humbling and wonderful!
Appreciate your support of Hope Is In The Cards! If you’re a Peter Shankman fan, drop us an email at info@hopeisinthecards.org to learn more about our project!
Was great to see Anna again. It’s been a few years since we connected in person and she is just as amazing as always. OK, maybe even a little more so. Really do appreciate her support.
Three of the more than 100 retailers who joined the HOPE project!
We blew past our goal and had more than 100 retailers join the Hope Is In The Cards project. Soon they’ll all receive kits on how to turn their shops into Centers for Hope — and you’ll be able to find them on our website too. What a great week!
We’re at the National Stationery Show (THANK YOU Greeting Card Association, GLM and the amazing vendors who helped us!) and today we’re trying to get retalers to partner with us. Will let you know how it goes!
Here’s a video of our first WALL OF HOPE. The more cards that people take to send, the more HOPE we see. When all the cards are gone, HOPE is what remains! Watch for a cooler version of this soon…
I just met with COOKIES FROM HOME, a great shop in Tempe. The owners saw our HOPE cards at the giant breakfast for the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (we have away almost 4,000 cards). She’s going to be our first official HOPE WEEK retailer! Watch for details when she kicks it off in June. Until then, buy her awesome cookies!
Hey HOPE folks, we had a really great event a couple of days ago. We came up with a cool idea — we built a giant wall with the word HOPE on it, covered it in cool cards from American Greetings, Hallmark and Leanin’ Tree (THANKS for the donations folks!) and set up in a community festival. BAMM!! In 3 hours, hundreds of people picked cards off the wall and sent them, leaving a giant message of HOPE behind. We’re going to try it all over the USA now!
