HOPE cards off to two more continents!
At Battery Park in New York today, even Spiderman stopped by the Wall of Hope!

Russ Haan, founder of Hope Is In The Cards, with his favorite Arachnid.
What a wonderful, thought-provoking, inspiring day. There was our Wall of Hope, with the Statue of Liberty right behind it. People streamed on and off the Ferries to Ellis Island. HOPE found its way to people of every color, age, race, nationality, and more. So many walked by our wall, stopped, and asked what kind of HOPE we were talking about. We simply said “Every Kind Of Hope. Just share it, right now, right here, for free. Today HOPE is on us.” People then took cards and mailed them all over the world. It was so busy that we barely even got the Wall covered with cards to start with – they just flew off! The simple act of connecting and sharing uplifting messages was a beacon. Hey, even Spiderman made a visit! We’ll post some more pictures and stories soon. But here are a few….

The Wall Of Hope arrived in Battery Park this morning!

Friends from America and South Africa sit together and address cards they chose from the Wall of Hope
The Wall of Hope will be making an appearance at New York City’s Battery Park this weekend, Saturday June 27th! Come on down, choose a card from the Wall and if you fill it out there, we’ll mail it for free. We’re even giving away some free HOPE t-shirts. We’ll be there from 10AM until 2PM. Look for the big red Wall.

Choose any card from the wall. Fill it out and we'll mail it too -- all for FREE!

When all the cards are mailed, HOPE is what remains! This Saturday, Battery Park in New York, 10AM to 2PM!
I just received a t-shirt in the mail. And take a look at what they wrote on the back of the envelope it came in! It’s millions of small actions like this that will lift us all and give everyone HOPE. Thank you![/caption]

It’s just incredibly humbling when someone is so supportive of the Hope Is In The Cards effort. Check out what Randy posted in his blog (http://nicetouchmarketing.blogspot.com/2009/06/hope-is-in-cards.html). Thanks so much to Randy and the Send Out Cards folks.
Sure it’s going to be more than 100 degrees here today, and 110 later in the week. But take a look at what greeted me when I woke up this morning. If a gnarly plant like this can create something as beautiful as those flowers — in killer heat no less — then perhaps we can do something small and kind for one another in our lives too.

Super hot day. Super cool flowers.
This wonderful idea may not be about sending cards, but it’s so heartfelt and kind that I feel it’s the perfect kindred spirit. Visit HOPErevo.com and see how these wonderful, hidden, unexpected messages of HOPE are making a difference. Brilliant!
We’ve received our permit! We can bring our Wall of Hope to New York’s Battery Park on June 27th — but we need help to get it there. We need to raise $2,000 for shipping and the expenses of the Wall. If you’d like to help out, send us an email at info@hopeisinthecards.org.
On Saturday, the great folks at Happier.com are hosting an evening for some of the 1,500 doctors and researchers attending a convention on the powerful, positive effects of happiness. Our partners are going to give away HOPE cards to attendees and help promote our effort. We say THANK YOU SO MUCH! There’s always room for a little more hope!
